INDIAN FOOD REINVENTED!
If you've ever wanted to go to a Chipotle but with Indian food, your wish has been granted!
Came here for lunch on a Monday afternoon and was able to order... read more pretty quick. There's a bunch of seating inside and outside.
There's tacos, burritos, bowls- but all are Indianized lol. The carb, protein, toppings, and sides are desi staples. We got the roti tacos (paneer) and a burrito bowl (half chicken tikka, half lamb curry).
The roti shells on the taco were ingenious- a cross between a soft taco shell and a poori. The protein was popping with paneer tikka kinda flavor and the toppings were classics straight outta an Indian restaurant.
The burrito bowl was a baddie too. The cross between lamb curry, tikka, and chickpea masala was heavenly and will remain with me for quite some time. Adding to that were the cucumber yogurt, tamarind chutney, and some the potato subzi- it was a symphony of flavors.
If not for the food, i'd insist on going here just to look at the quirky artwork all over the joint lol.
10/10 would go again!Anivesh B.

3/14/2023It's like the Chipotle of Indian food!
Not bad, but pretty mild (flavors) overall. Food could've been seasoned a bit more.

I wouldn't really go out of my way to eat here unless I was in the area.Kevin T.

2/19/2023When I think of traditional Indian food it's either tandoori pizza or AYCE lunch buffet which they are famous for serving generous portion size and Sam & Curry is no... read more exception. Came by this morning and I was greeted by two ladies that were so polite and attentive. Their prices are very reasonable with all the toppings and sauces I chose the chicken tikka salad bowl price at $10.95 with chopped lettuce, chicken, meat, chicken peas, tomatoes, chili lime corn, cilantro rice, veggies, potato onions and salsa a good source of protein and carb. It's a good place for take-out, dine-in or outdoor patio with the shades. I loved it and wouldn't mind coming back next time I have the burrito or the Indian style tacos. Parking not a problem light traffic on a Friday morning.

2/10/2023There are no Indian food restaurants in my small town so I was thrilled when I stumbled upon Sam and Curry while on a business trip near the San Jose... read more airport. True to its Chipotle vibe, I was able to sample various dishes in my rice bowl. Spicy rice was a little challenging for me but the heat didn't distract from the myraid of destinctive but blended flavors. I tried chickpea curry, saag and paneer. I think I'll go back today to sample more items. Yum!

1/20/2023Trying to mix indian and mexican food, sounds interesting. So spicy that we couldn't finish either of our dishes (both chicken tikka based) and even the tamarind chutney was too... read more hot(?). If there had been an option to choose mild or medium spiciness, perhaps it wouldn't have ended up in the trash.

1/04/2023We ordered our food online. Our food was ready by the time we arrived. Everything looked very clean. We ordered the chicken curry rice bowl with saag and chicken tikka burrito. The serving size for the bowl was quite generous. I ended up splitting it between two meals. What you can expect is an Indian food version of Chipotle - straight up - and I ain't mad at it! I love Indian food, and I'm down for assembly line style build-your-own bowl. Sam and Curry was a refreshing change to places like Chipotle and Saaj.
Customer service was great. The amount of options were overwhelming to me, but the server helped tremendously by walking me through every step of the process and describing every item of food for me.
I put together a rice bowl including saag as the main entrée, and I loaded it with chickpeas, potatoes, and veggies. There were many sauces and toppings to choose from, and the flavors I chose melded well altogether. I was highly satisfied with my bowl and happily enjoyed leftovers the following day.Katrina C.
